Bristol Festival of Puppetry is a ten-day celebration of all things animated on stage and screen with shows, films, workshops, carnival, breakfasts, talks and much more.
Puppetry is an artform that should be for everyone - and we're committed to that journey. Bristol Festival of Puppetry 2017 is over 1 - 10 September across Watershed and Tobacco Factory Theatres and this year, we’re focusing on expanding our audiences and creating new opportunities to do that.
We want accessibility and diversity to be part of our DNA and are offering BSL interpreted events relaxed performances and shows and films with little or no spoken word at this year’s festival We are also setting up Interchange - 3 days of panel discussions and labs exploring how puppetry can offer diverse people platforms to tell their stories and how diverse practitioners can help us to develop puppetry. Accessible events and information is available on each event page. You can find accessible, BSL interpreted and relaxed performances by using the filter selection for events. We very much look forward to welcoming you to Bristol Festival of Puppetry!
